About us

Who Are We?

The Israel Planners Association has been in existence for more than 45 years, representing those engaged in regional, urban and environmental planning   in Israel and has over 400 members. The Israel Planners Association is one of six professional organizations that comprise the "Association for the Promotion of Planning, Construction and the Environment in Israel" (former umbrella organization). It is recognized by the Ministry of Interior as the organization that represents the community of planners. The association recommends representatives to planning institutions, the national planning council, and to regional, local and ad-hoc committees. Members of the organization include urban and regional planners, geographers, architects, economists, lawyers, sociologists, public policy experts, statisticians, academics, and others. The purpose of the association is to professionally represent planners in Israel, to work towards the promotion and recognition of the profession, and to contribute to the dissemination of professional knowledge in the field.

Organizational Structure

An elected committee manages the association's affairs.

The committee has several subcommittees:

Admissions Committee, Audit Committee, Court.
